Happy Birthday Nadiya!
My baby is 1 today! Time has flown by so fast since this day last year.
And look how big she is now! :(
I am having a combined party for her and Ethan this afternoon.
Ethan is pretty super excited. But I think that's mostly because he thinks he's going to be getting
more presents. (Heehee, little does he know!)
Ignore the cake. It was free, I was lazy.
I don't think Ethan minded, so I don't care.
A few weeks ago, we had to take Ethan into the emergency. He was running, and tripped a fell and
hit his mouth on a corner of a drawer on Madison's bed.
He ended up getting 5 stitches on the outside of his lip and one on the inside.
The doctor also noticed at the hospital that one of his top teeth got pushed back, so I
had to take him to the dentist. Right now they aren't going to do anything about his tooth,
I'm just hoping it won't cause any problems later on.
He had to drink out of a straw for a few days, but everything is almost back to normal now,
except for his tooth, which he complains about once in a while. The dentist said it would probably hurt for awhile though. I'm just amazed at how fast it heals though.
This picture was taken less than 2 weeks after it happened. So much better!
So I actually have managed to make something in the past couple of months.
A fall wreath! I don't have a picture of it actually on our front door, so this will have to do.
Sadly, I think that's about the only thing I've been able to get done. One day I will get back into it. :(
So that picture where you were trying to show Ethan's injury, you didn't do a very good job.. b/c all you notice are his big blue eyes! ;)

Kara: that was the point. that way if someone gets grossed out easily they can just avoid looking at his lip by looking at his eyes! ;)
ReplyDeletei love the wreath, rae! whats it made out of?? and chase had the same thing happen to him last month, big cut in his lip - but no stitches! poor ethan!! :( isn't it nuts that our babies are 1 already!!!
ReplyDeleteAah Ethan's lip was huge! The poor kid...6 stitches is quite a bit. Hopefully his tooth will stop bothering him.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I think you have to teach me some tricks on the sewing machine! I finally got one :)
char: For the wreath I just went to the dollar store, bought some of their fake leaves and got a plain vine wreath. Then I just glue gunned each leaf on. Pretty easy. Poor Chase! Was he trying to walk?
