DAY 181: Summer Fun

The two older kids spent the afternoon in the neighbor's pool, but
since it's a 4' deep pool, it was a little scary for the little ones.
Byron was watering the lawn so they took advantage of it, and
we heard a lot of little girl giggles as they ran through the sprinkler.

DAY 180: Spinning

This is what they did on the first official day of summer holidays.
They stole my office chair and took turns spinning each other around.
There were no injuries.

DAY 179: Crazy Kaelynn

I went to work with Byron a few times in the last two weeks. Two
of those days we took the kids along (the homeowner suggested it). Yesterday
when we were done, I wanted to get a few pictures of the kids. Kaelynn was quite
excited about the idea. But she's a fruitcake and this is the kind of
picture I mostly ended up with.

And some extras from the day :

DAY 178

I don't know if anyone else sees it, but I'm noticing a very strong
resemblance to Byron's side of the family in this picture. :)

DAY 177

DAY 176

Kaelynn thought it would be fun to try eat while pretending
she was handcuffed. At least she gets colorful handcuffs. :)

DAY 175: A Little Bit Healthier

We have been trying to eat a little healthier around here lately. We used
to have chips as an afternoon snack on Sunday afternoon, but the last
few weeks we've replaced that with this. It goes over quite well with the kids!
(As long as we have ranch dressing)

DAY 174: I Think They're Done

DAY 173:

Isn't she just stunning? ;)

DAY 171: Kindergarten Day

She's getting so old! She was so excited for kindergarten day, she was ready
45 minutes earlier than we had to go, backpack and shoes on. And
then it took sooooo long to drive to school. I think she had a lot of fun, and is
looking forward to September when she can go back again.

DAY 170: Getting There

Our fence is getting a little closer to being done. Byron hopes
to be done by the end of the week. It will be so nice to be able to send
Nadiya outside and not worry about where she's wandered off to.

DAY 169: Roast Chicken. :)

I like to make a meal Byron really likes for Fathers Day, but since
we were busy Sunday afternoon, it didn't work out then, so we did it Monday
instead. This is one of Byron's favorites: roast chicken, corn on the cob, and salad.
So good! The kids favorite part is the corn on the cob. I think they would
like to have it every night if they could.

DAY 168: Father's Day

DAY 167: Error

Yeah, so, i didn't make it. I woke up Sunday morning with
a sinking feeling in my stomach as I realized I didn't take
any pictures on Saturday. How did this happen??? I was quite sad
about it, especially because I distinctly remember telling myself
to make sure I took a picture, a couple times during the day. It's not
going to happen again!! I hope.

DAY 166: Ethan's Room

After having a half painted room the last few weeks, I finally told myself
to get back to it and finish it. So that's what I spent a few hours on today. Ethan
loves it! :) Now, I have to get him a new duvet cover. I had one all picked out,
thought I had ordered it, and then when I finally realized I somehow didn't order it,
they had none left. How dumb is that!?  So, now that the colors in his room
match the cover I 'ordered' I have to find something else that will match. Grrrrrrrr. :(

DAY 165: Help!

She couldn't quite figure out how to get her head to fit through the hole. :)

DAY 164

Ethan's helium balloon he got to take home after his grad. It's been attached
to our roof all day. Once in awhile one of the kids will climb on a stool so they
can reach the string and bounce it around a bit. We'll see how long
the helium lasts.

DAY 163: Ethan's Done!

Ethan is happy to be done kindergarten. He likes school, but he was
definitely ready for some lazy summer days.

DAY 160: Mmmmm!

I like chocolate. :)

DAY 159

DAY 158: Train Ride

The girls were pretending this box was a train. They were taking turns
pushing each other around the room in it. So much fun being a kid!

DAY 155: Ethan's Road

Ethan decided that if he had to play outside, he needed a road for his cars to
drive on. I came outside to check on the kids and this is what I found!
He spent most of the afternoon driving his cars on it.
I think there was a lot of crashing involved. It doesn't
look like a very smooth road. :)

DAY 154: Hello

DAY 152: Track and Field

We went to PICS in Edmonton for track and field. It was a gorgeous day,
and the kids had a lot of fun!
I got way too much sun, and am still feeling a little lobsterish. :(

DAY 151: Lame

I thought for sure I had other pictures from Thursday, but apparently not.

DAY 150: Goodbye Hugs

Nadiya giving Kassidy a big hug goodbye. :(
