DAY 121: Two Little Brats

These two little girls of mine have never seemed to get along so great.
The days when Ethan has school sometimes feel endlessly long, with
me spending a lot of time breaking up catty fights between these two.
These last couple of weeks there has been an almost complete
turnaround, and these girls of mine have suddenly become
the best of friends. I think it's wonderful, and would love
to think it'll last forever!

DAY 120: Snuggles

Nadiya has to be our most cuddly child. She is forever snuggling up
and getting comfy. Which I absolutely love! She is also a fidgeter,
so her cuddle sessions usually end up with her mama having a million bruises
over her whole body. Tiny elbows and knobby knees are
not so soft and friendly. But I have to admit, those bruises are worth every minute!

DAY 119: Quick Black Forest Cake

This was so delicious!!! I was randomly in the mood for some black forest
cake, so I went online and did a search and found a quick, easy recipe.
Try it! You'll be happy you did! :)

The only things I changed were to use Betty Crocker gluten free chocolate
cake mix instead of the one they used, and I didn't add the
chocolate chips. I also found a different recipe for frosting
instead of the glaze they used, but personally
I think this cake would be just as good without any glaze or frosting.

DAY 118: My Poor Sick Hubbie

Byron got knocked down with bronchitis at the end of last week, and can't quite
seem to kick it. He's done a lot of sleeping, and hasn't worked quite as much as
he normally would. Hopefully by Monday he'll be back to his normal self again.

DAY 117: Dress-Up Day

The kids had dress-up day at school yesterday. Each grade had a theme
to dress up as. Grade 2's had to dress up as a small insect/animal. Madison
being the girly girl that she is, chose a butterfly. The kindergartens them was
Disney/fairytale. So Ethan dressed up as a pirate.
I think he was quite the handsome pirate.

DAY 116

Madison and Ethan are participating in a read-a-thon through the school.
They've been very good about getting in there minutes every day. And
Madison has been so good with helping Ethan when he gets stuck on
words he can't sound out. He's getting very close to being able to read!

DAY 114: Our 'Sandbox'

We have no sandbox so if the kids want to play with buckets
and shovels they have to go to the little bit of dirt we have
under our deck. It keeps them quite happy. They played
there for a few hours today.

DAY 113

Look! We have no snow left!

DAY 112

YUM! I found some pre-made gluten-free pie crusts the other day,
so on Saturday I decided I had to take one out and try it. It was a very
delicious lemon meringue pie! :)

DAY 111: Cutest Bags Ever!

I had a very successful night at the Spring Market last night! So happy
about it! Definitely made it worth standing there for 4 hours. On
Thursday I went to the city, and while I was browsing a dollar store,
I found these cute little bags. They were perfect for putting the necklaces
and earrings in that people bought. They're so bright and cheerful! :)

DAY 110: Spring Market Doo-Dads

I've been busy making all kinds of pretty things for my table at the Spring Market
in the Neerlandia school gym tomorrow evening. Hopefully it goes well!

DAY 109: Milk Mustache

She didn't notice till I showed her the picture that she
had a milk mustache. She thought it was quite hilarious that I
was going to put it on my blog. We'll see if she still thinks
that way in a few years. :)

DAY 108

Our little Kaelynn is sick this week. I took her in to see the doctor,
and she has strep throat. I think the antibiotics have
kicked in already though, as she seems to be doing a lot better!

DAY 107: A 4 Year Old's 30-Day Shred

I started a new workout, but Kaelynn still prefers the 30 Day Shred.

DAY 106

Byron's beloved cactus. I think it's actually quite ugly.

DAY 104: Corn Pops

Nadiya helped herself to a nice snack of corn pops today.

DAY 103: Our Neighborhood Lake

Spring is definitely here! The snow has almost all disappeared, and we
now have some rather large puddles taking up space. The kids have
been having a great time splashing around in them, and my
washing machine has been getting extra workouts this week because of that.

DAY 102: Mr. Smarty Pants

When I told the kids today that if they were going to ride their bikes
they had to wear their helmets, Ethan thought he'd be smart
and ride a different bike so he wouldn't have to wear his.

DAY 100!

She used to be so sweet but then she hit 2 and something happened.
Now she has a lot of little girl attitude along with that sweetness.

(Isn't it crazy that it's already 100 days into 2012?)

DAY 99

Somedays I just have nothing better to take pictures of.

DAY 98

Grandpa keeping Kaelynn nice and warm.

DAY 97: We have visitors!

My parents are out for a visit! The kids haven't seen them since last summer
so they were pretty excited to see them again.

DAY 96:

This is what we woke up to on thursday morning. We just love the
snow so much. :S

DAY 95: My Dresser

It's hard to believe but I almost forgot again! I didn't think about
taking a picture till I was laying in bed, but as I was much too lazy
to get out of bed and get my camera, it was quite nice that my phone was
on my dresser. I hardly even had to lift my head to get this picture. :P

DAY 94: My Hubbie

I like him. ;)

DAY 93: Standing In The Window

I have no idea why she thought it would be fun to climb up on the
windowsill. Once she was up there, she decided it wasn't quite
as fun as she was hoping.

Day 92: Beads

Nadiya found Madison's beads.

DAY 91:

Richard and Ciny were over with their kids on Saturday. Since
it was absolutely beautiful outside the kids were out playing.
Madison came running in to let us know that Ethan and Janelle
were stuck in the mud. I tried to get to them to help them out and lost
my shoe in the process, so Byron headed out there with his big winter boots
and managed to pull them out. They were covered in mud though! Good thin
washing clothes is so quick and easy nowadays. Apparently what had
happened was that Ethan got stuck so Janelle, being the sweetheart that she is,
decided she was going to try help him out. I don't think getting stuck herself was
quite what she pictured happening! :)

DAY 90

This past week was the kids spring break. I had been looking forward
to it, but unfortunately this little lady was grumpy all week. She spent
a lot of time in her bedroom due to her crying about everything! I am at
my wits end on how to deal with her. Anyone have any great ideas on how
to get a 7 year old to stop crying so much, because I could sure use some ideas.
