DAY 30: Because I Almost Forgot Again

I'm starting to seriously doubt my ability to take a picture every day. It's not even the
end of January, and I've had it a few times now, when I almost forgot to take a picture.
As I did today. And I wasn't feeling too inspired. The kids were already in bed, and my
brain is tired, so an apple it is!

DAY 29: Typical Kaelynn

Apparently Kaelynn figured it was cold inside? :) But not cold enough
for a sweater? I don't know...

DAY 28: Out With The Kids

We went swimming with the kids and my brother's and their families this afternoon. I think we all had a lot of fun. I had taken my camera along thinking I could get a good picture of them at the pool, but...
while I had my camera inside the pool building, I realized too late that I had forgotten my main
memory card at home, and my spare one was in the van. I didn't think it would be a good idea
to go prancing outside in minus something weather in my bathing suit to get it. :S
So instead of a beautiful picture of my kids swimming in the water, this is what we get
today. The kids sitting in the van as we are filling up with gas. Notice how all four kids made it on the picture? I actually had a nicer picture, but Nadiya didn't make it on it, so I decided to go with this one. We went to Boston Pizza afterwards, and the kids got to pick a toy out of a treasure chest.
Thats why Madison is wearing an elephant mask, it's not something that she just normally
does. :)

DAY 27: Packaging

I have to admit I thought I was seeing things this morning when
I checked our etsy site.I had to refresh the page
a few times before it actually sank in that what I was seeing was not
a site malfunction. We had over 20 sales by 8 this morning!
Now, I've always been a fan of  Pioneer Woman. But now, I'm really really liking
her! :) She featured us on her site this morning, sending a tidal wave of people
over to Maddy & Co. I think I've been on a high all day, so Thank You
Pioneer Woman!

DAY 26: Hope it tasted good!

I guess the blue felt looked very appetizing and she just couldn't resist
taking a small taste. :)

DAY 25

I know. Not the most exciting picture ever, but it was almost the end of the day
and I didn't have a picture yet. Better than nothing!

DAY 24:

I know it's terrible for me, but sometimes I get cravings for Dr. Pepper.
I went for years not drinking pop, and then last summer I bought some pop for me.
I probably should never have done that. :P

DAY 23: Hoarfrost

There was lots and lots of fog this morning, and when it cleared up
the trees were covered in this beautiful hoarfrost. It always looks
so pretty!

DAY 22: Little Miss Nadiya

DAY 21: Little Miss Hairdresser

Madison loves to try do people's hair. This was the first time that
Nadiya actually let her try something on her, and I  couldn't believe
how patiently Nadiya sat while Madison was
trying to put an elastic in her hair.

DAY 20

DAY 19 - Setting Sun

Whoops! I totally forgot to post this yesterday night! I actually thought
about it at like 12:30 while I was laying awake in bed, but I really
didn't think it was so important that I should get out of bed
and miss some much needed sleep to do this. So here it is, last night's sun
as it was going down behind the houses across the park.

DAY 18: Bookwork

This is really not a strong point for me. I procrastinate and leave it till the very
last minute and end up having to spend hours and days in a row trying to get it all done
before the deadline. I think I've given Byron some gray hairs when the due
date is in 2 days and I'm not done yet. :)

DAY 17 - Puzzling

It's below -30 and this is what Kaelynn chooses to wear. She must
really be looking forward to summer!

DAY 16

Ok, so it's not just one snapshot. But I couldn't pick one, so here's three. Byron went out with the
other three kids tonight to pick up supper. (His idea so I wouldn't have to cook supper on our
anniversary.) I was happy with that. :) Anyways, Nadiya sat in a little corner by the book box and
happily colored to her little hearts content, and I just couldn't pass up the opportunity to take out
my camera. I just love her! :)

DAY 15

Byron and the kids watch a movie every sunday afternoon. I usually
just sit on the couch beside them with my book since I really can't be
bothered to watch Tangled for the millionth time. :)

DAY 13: Nadiya and I

I absolutely love the joy on Nadiya's face in this picture!

DAY 12: Bubbles

We are home again. Happy to be home, but I will miss my family.
I picked Kaelynn up from a birthday party after lunch and she had a
small bottle of bubbles in her goodie bag. She spent most of her afternoon
blowing bubbles.

DAY 11: Weston

I finally managed to capture a picture of this littly guy by himself.  He
was telling me what to take a picture of and somehow I tricked him and
caught him at just the right moment.

DAY 10: Schouten family photo

This is the first time all the adults were together in over 2 years, so mom wanted
to get a family photo.

DAY 9: Two little troublemakers

Weston and Kassidy.
Two of the cutest kids I've ever seen.
Not including my own kids of course. ;)
Not the greatest picture, but the best I could get with these two.
Weston hides his face everytime he lays eyes on my camera.

DAY 8: Kassidy

My niece Kassidy. She had her own boots on already and decided she should try on
Uncle Andrew's shoes over top of them. It looked quite cute.

DAY 7: Early Tulips

Mom's beautiful purple tulips! Love them!

DAY 4: Budding Fashion Designer

Madison offered to show me today how to design clothing.
She made this outfit for Nadiya to put on the bunny.
I thought it was pretty neat. :)

DAY 3: Lego

Ethan playing with the new lego he got for Christmas.

DAY 2

The kids have been wearing their boots in the basement because Byron is doing some renovating. I don't want them tracking the drywall dust all over the house, so they leave them behind when they get bored of watching daddy.  :P

Project 365: One A Day

So, I decided in the fall of last year that I was going to attempt to do this. I am going to do my best to take one picture a day and post them here as I go. From past experience I will say that you shouldn't expect too much. I tend to forget about my blog and have large gaps between posts. :) But I will give it a go and try my best. At the end of it, I'm hoping to put them all in a printed photo book. I think it'll be kind of neat, kind of like a photo journal. I don't blog on sundays, so monday will have pictures from both sunday and monday.

DAY 1:

Flowers from my wonderful husband! Aren't they pretty? :)

I will post today's picture later this afternoon.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We had a wonderful Christmas holidays. Byron took off the week between Christmas and New Years. We got some things done around the house, and the rest of the time was spent hanging around home or visiting family and friends. We celebrated Kaelynn's 4th birthday on New Year's Eve. She felt pretty special. :)

And I know this is a little late, but I thought I'd post a picture of my wreath I had on my door all December. I had planned to put it on here a few weeks ago already, but as usual time got away from me. :)

It took me hours, so I was very relieved that I was happy with it in the end. It would have been really disappointing if I'd hated it after all that work. :)

Wishing everyone a belated Happy New Years!
